Where the Young Soul* and the Old Souls* are the same
There are some ways that the Young Soul* and the Old Souls* are very similar. One of them is this: Both types want everyone to be happy – the big difference is what brings them happiness. When both types try to explain to the other that they’re free to do these things that make everyone happy, the other type feels pressured to do something they are not interested in. The Old Souls* are a little bit more aware of this difference in thinking and therefore try to leave the Young Soul* to their family matters, but the Young Soul* can’t quite see this. But we can all rest assured that all people want everybody to be happy… And that do unto others as you’d do to yourself, thus, is bad advice… What you should do, to make others happy, is what they do to you… The difficulty being that the Young Soul* will try to break you to make you into a friend when a Old Souls* tries to break only their enemies to make them flee and leave them alone.
Both the Young Soul* and the Old Souls* act out of love by default
Both the Young Soul* and the Old Souls* act out of love by default, yet, they express love very differently. The Young Soul* test others by what the Old Souls* interpret as hate, and the Old Souls* express kindness and willingness to make friends in a way that the Young Soul* interpret as contempt and expression of superiority.
There’s a difference that makes the interaction between the Young Soul* and the Old Souls* difficult. The Young Soul* won’t truly ever hate anybody, it seems, and they don’t really understand the feeling of hate at all. Although it takes a lot for a Old Souls* to truly feel hate, they are capable of it. The Young Soul* will hate easier – but not really. They take extreme hate as some form of love or disappointment, never as actual, stone-cold hate. That’s why they tend to be completely fearless in facing brutality, as they feel a direct attack on them is a sign of insecurity or unrequited love, not… hate.
the Old Souls* feel universal, impersonal love toward all humanity and all creation, but they are, in return, capable of absolute, true hate, too. This is missing in the Young Soul*, who will feel hate only as a reaction to personal rejection. They will ever “hate” people who have rejected their love, but they will never TRULY hate anyone. That puts them in danger with the Old Souls* who have been pushed to absolute hate, and they’ll walk like lambs to slaughter if a Old Souls* has turned psychopathic due to unfortunate circumstances of being surrounded by the Young Soul* that he or she cannot feel complete love for.
the Young Soul* and the Old Souls* both want to find everlasting love
Both types want to find everlasting love and everlasting soul bonds, but they seek it from different places. The Young Soul* want to find reliable people, the Old Souls* want to find exciting, stimulating people. As the Old Souls* often feel a responsibility toward the entire humanity (or Earth and all living things on it, the Young Soul* very much included into that bunch), the Young Soul* will consider the Old Souls* reliable on a PERSONAL level, which they are not.
the Old Souls* are quick to offer help, kind words, support, and first aid to those in need, which the Young Soul* never do, and this, to the Young Soul*, is a signal this person can be relied upon. They’re willing to serve them – on a personal level. They also feel that the more talented a person is, the more they’re there to serve the god-like the Young Soul*, who may be less in capabilities, but as a function of being the Young Soul* in the Old Souls* world, take it as a sign of higher importance than what a Old Souls* is: after all, if someone more capable serves your needs, that means you’re important – like a King or a God, who yields the power by their birth right. (You know how kings and queens can be somewhat lacking in all ways, frail in body and mind, prone to madness, and whatever, but they’ll still be served as a ruler.) This is why the Young Soul* relies on the Old Souls* for everlasting love, but will never find it in a Old Souls*.
the Old Souls* get stuck with the Young Soul*, who are ALWAYS NEEDY, they are ALWAYS seeking first-aid-level love that the Old Souls* feels compelled to grant them. The Old Souls*, in order to find everlasting love, will have to learn to avoid the Young Soul*-trap, to deny them first aid, and everything they are not willing to give them for the rest of their lives OR offer them small morsels of love in return for something the Old Souls* can actually use: “Like my posts and I will send you love in return..” Strategies exist.
Both the Young Soul* and the Old Souls* want to be a part of something bigger than themselves
Even though both the Young Soul* and the Old Souls* want to be a part of something bigger than themselves, again, they interpret this need very differently. The Old Souls* want to serve an idea, a cause, some ideal that will make the world a better place, whereas the Young Soul* want to be a part of a bigger group than themselves. The Young Soul* want the social aspect of an idealistic movement, where the Old Souls* want the results of that movement. The Young Soul* will be more likely to SABOTAGE the movement just to keep the social aspects of it going. For instance, the Young Soul* feminists will create discord between men and women just to keep Feminism going well past its usefulness and original purpose. (Not to say all Feminism in all of its forms all around the world has already served its purpose, but there are women who are looking for a fight simply to keep the social aspects, the bond between the social group going and creating more problems just to keep the unity in the war against men going.)
the Old Souls* simply want the results, and once the results have been achieved, they want to exit the group and focus on their PERSONAL lives instead. They only see a problem to be rectified, and the social aspects are a necessary evil they need to tolerate while fixing the problem. Once the problem is gone, they can leave – and this is when the Young Soul* will create a problem if there wasn’t any, to lure the parting the Old Souls* back to fold… Like it was the Young Soul*’s DUTY to do so. That is why the Young Soul* will always sabotage the very cause they’re sworn to work for. A Young Soul* will disturb world peace just to have the social experience of working to restore world peace. They are the fireman who starts a fire just to be able to band together with the other fireys to put out the fire once more.
Both the Young Soul* and the Old Souls* want to have a family
Even though both the Young Soul* and the Old Souls* want to have a family, they don’t, again, see it the same way. The Young Soul* want to raise children that will never leave the family unit, they raise children to continue in the footsteps of their parents, and the Young Soul* children want nothing more than to fulfill their parent’s dreams.
the Old Souls* raise a family of achievers – if they get their way. They want their children to be happy and contented in their own lives. They want a family that supports each individual in the family, rather than a family in which each member sacrifices their own dreams to the needs of the family. The Old Souls* want parents and want to be parents that will help their offspring onto their wings and do whatever great things they are capable of, and love their children as individuals, rather than wheels of a cart.
As far as family goes, the best parents can see the needs of a child and adapt accordingly, provide a ready-made paved path for the Young Soul* child and help a Old Souls* child to spread his or her wings and fly – but only a Old Souls* is evolved enough to be capable of doing this.
the Old Souls* are, however, more than capable of saying no to the whole raising a family thing, but they will still seek for a family that they choose for themselves, among other adults and people they respect. They may also turn to “parenting the whole world” rather than focusing only blood relatives.
Both the Young Soul* and the Old Souls* may seem eager to have sex
Both types may seem quite eager to have sex. However, the Young Soul* women, in particular, will dress up sexy and looking eager to tell men they are willing to “do their part” in turn for protection, safety, and a little love and care. The Old Souls* women who are openly sexual, are that because they’ve gotten tired of being lumped together with sex-negative women, and they want to make it clear they won’t agree to be ignored as sexual partners as a favor to them.
Both types, obviously, within each group, have a different attitude toward sex, but if they seem obviously “begging for it”, they are doing it for different reasons.
