Which order do you want things; sex or romance first?
And no, not everyone wants them in the same order. Not a gender thing, either. This is a personality thing.
There are people who don’t feel sexually attracted to anyone before they have a romantic connection. Others don’t want anything to do with romance until they’ve found a sexual connection – and acted upon it, too. These people don’t want a relationship with EVERYONE they’ve slept with, but they wouldn’t ever attempt a relationship with someone whom they haven’t slept with first. No amount of waiting around, romancing them, and proving to them that they’re there for you will help the matter, either.
To some, finding an instant sexual connection that then leads to romance is the ultimate romantic dream. To others, it goes the other way around; they want to test the friendship first, build a connection, and then, only after they’re comfortable, take it to the sexual level.
This is a personality thing. Neither way is right or wrong, better or worse, just the way you like it and should have it.
