Why do psychics get bad / inaccurate information?
I just read some horrible news on Facebook, and instantly connected to the person in the photo, thinking WHAM she is SUPER HAPPY! The strongest intuition ever, and turns out the person in the news was found dead and dismembered. I had a clear intuition that she was not only alive, but so much in love with the man who is now charged for her murder, that they simply eloped on the spot and are spending time somewhere luxurious completely unaware of the scare they caused at home.
So why do we get it so terribly wrong sometimes?
I don’t think there are a lot of psychics who are DELIBERATELY fraudulent. It is a terrible bad profession to choose if you want to cheat people because everyone is instantly suspicious of you, but there is more than enough reasons for bad information to go around, and here are some examples:
“I don’t want to see that”
The most common reason for a gifted psychic to not see something is the simple decision that they don’t want to see it. For me, seeing where a lost cat has gone seems to be completely impossible. This is because the last thing I want to become is the psychic that looks for lost cats.
Some people refuse to see death approaching, or, in some case, anything negative. (What are they good for then? Someone asked me: Inspiration and life direction, my dear.)
Don’t ask, don’t tell
A lot of the times, there’s a lot of stuff to look at when you go see a psychic. We are only capable of processing so much data at a time, even though the more intelligent the psychic is, the more information they can process at a time, and the more different strands of information they can weave together in the reading. However, if you ask about, say, your business prospects, don’t be surprised if the fact your wife is leaving goes unnoticed by the psychic. (She probably would see that, but also, depending on what she is particularly interested in herself and an expert of, she would be most attuned to. I, for instance, would be instantly looking into your natural leaning towards monogamy or different forms of polygamyORpolygynandry1, but wouldn’t notice the existence of your spirit guides.)
Usually the stuff that goes missing is somewhat between the lines, and therefore, easy to miss unless one’s attention is pointed to it. That is why it actually does help to tell a psychic a little background story, that is absolutely NOT a sign of a psychic who is just waiting to cheat you out of your money.
Too much self-elevation, too much ego (angering spirits)
Very common problem with psychics is to initially having a good handle on things and having a great psychic instinct turning into ego-stroking, boasting about superior talent and the like, angering the spirits around her who offer her information or who guide her way, suddenly, she would not receive ANY accurate information, and might even be offered completely ridiculous explanations for a situation, in order to do two things: To correct her path and to guide her towards humility, and to put up a red flag to her clients to say that this person is NOT currently functioning at her best and you should look for a new psychic.
Along the same lines, a mischievous spirit may be disrupting the “broadcast”, simply to cause harm, or out of spite toward either the psychic or the person they are reading for. A jealous ex might add stuff in or a competing psychic might be interfering with their opponents readings.
“Out of sorts”
As all of us, psychics have good days and bad days. This is one of the reasons why it is not too wise to keep a too tight schedule as a psychic, as you will be required to be at your best at all times, there should, at least, be some way to relieve the schedule if something happens that upsets you, as a psychic. Everyone who reads through email should know exactly when not to read, because when your mind is somewhere else, there is no way the information can be very reliable.
Grief is particularly bad emotion while doing psychic readings, an also that is an emotion a lot of psychics are very sensitive to. Please, as a psychic, avoid watching news and subjecting yourself to negative and upsetting Facebook updates by selecting what kinds of posts you react to. And no, psychics cannot see this stuff anyway, if psychics were able to see and sense all bad things everywhere, they would go insane within an hour. They may foresee a disaster if it is of particular importance for them personally to see it, but many disasters fall under the category of “I don’t want to see it”, because seeing things like this beforehand makes you the person who is calling 911 for “a plane that hasn’t fallen yet”, not a very nice place to be in.
Incurable romantics and too soft hearts
Many psychics do this in order to encourage people and to bring them the news that everything is going to be fine! Their need to tell others that their life is beautiful overshadows their actual skills and they start telling a fortune of great happiness and flourishing love stories that won’t happen, perhaps for the simple reason the client’s own sense of romance is very different to that of the psychics. 😀 (This sometimes does work as self-fulfilling prophesy, because The Law of The Truest Wish is always vigilant to get clues to what it is that you want and don’t want out of life, and psychics are sometimes great spies for The Law of The Truest Wish, because the stronger the client’s reaction to something, the better the LOTTW will react to it.)
Some psychics, of course, are drawn to the dark side, and will pull out demons and gore just to keep their own lives interesting, and then, yours, too.
The same tune; some psychics love the idea of being the one to tell someone that “they are chosen”, and they simply see “chosen” people all over the place. 😀
Channeling the deceased
As anyone can imagine, channelling someone who has recently passed on is a terribly huge load for a psychic, and it can be entirely too much pressure to do that to actually do that. The biggest pressure involved is that the deceased has no option to correct the psychic’s message, and that creates a block in the mind of the psychic, as they do not want to risk giving you false information.
They might do some test questions only to take themselves out of the task, and to release themselves from the burden of being the one to deliver the message from beyond.
Bonus 1: Why do psychic use Tarot cards?
A bonus question; someone in my head, a dude, asked me for the reason why psychics so often use Tarot cards, as he suspects they should see things without them, anyway. Although a lot of psychics have the ability anyway, using cards is like putting on glasses or using the binoculars to enhance the view. The other reason is that the Tarot give you structure on what is important and what is not. If you simply look at a person and scan their energy, you get a lot of information at the same time and it can be difficult to put it into order and make sense out of it. The cards slow things down and they guide you through the reading lifting up the important parts and pushing the less important stuff aside (for now). I personally rarely touch the Tarot deck 4/5 through the email I am writing, because I can feel stuff coming in at such velocity sometimes that I feel the cards would slow me down too much… (But then, I am a genius.) Once I feel I can no longer see stuff without the Tarot, I pick a few cards to see if there’s anything I’d missed, and often get a lot of good stuff, still. Many times the Tarot works like notes; “Ah and then, mention this thing, and that thing, and don’t forget to bring up this!”
Bonus 2: Do the Tarot apps on mobile phones work?
Yes, they do. I use them all the time. (Galaxy Tarot for Android is my favorite.) If you are curious, do get one and start reading for yourself. Consider them inkblot cards, you don’t have to know what it is that the card is SUPPOSED TO tell you, you only need to know what it reminds you of. I have heard some guys give AMAZING readings without ever even seen a Tarot card before, when I simply ask: “What do you see in it” and they’re wowing me completely… I’m like “wow I wish I had seen that in that card, but I never noticed!” The process is very intuitive and personal, and each card changes meaning every time you see it, because the card itself doesn’t have a solid meaning, despite of what some of the readers say!
(So why would you want to pay a psychic for? A second opinion. As I mentioned, I had NEVER seen the same stuff my test subjects saw in the cards, and they simply have a different intuitive view on some topic. Test with your friends over coffee!)
Depending on context. Some time ago, I used the term polygamy to mean either the generic concept of polygamous marriage or a MM+FF+ -type marriage or poly-committed relationship. ↩
