Would a True Emotion Mirror ever give you silence treatment?

Silence treatment is a very narcissistic method of communication. While it may work between regular lovers, for True Emotion Mirrors, it seems damn near impossible thing to do. That said, just because someone keeps talking to you even when they’re angry doesn’t mean they’re your True Emotion Mirror, and just because someone isn’t talking to you doesn’t mean they’re giving you silence treatment. Silence can also be simple uncertainty about what to say and the fear of saying the wrong thing, rather than silence treatment.

A True Emotion Mirror who has gone all “no contact” (blocked your ass) is likely not a TrEmoR at all but a victim of narcissistic abuse… EVEN IF they were a True Emotion Mirror. So, a True Emotion Mirror who has been a victim of narcissistic abuse by their counterpart (which is possible) can go “no contact” to protect themselves, but that should NOT be interpreted as “silence treatment,” which is an attempt to minimize the other person’s sense of self-worth and belief of their ability to “dominate” as in matter in that relationship.

So before you jump to conclusions, look in the mirror. What did you do, and what did you refuse to do? Your supposed True Emotion Mirror refusing to talk to you is a bad, bad sign no matter which way it is, but if they don’t know what to say, maybe you said something to them by accident that is actually still rectifiable. Did you make it terribly hard for them to approach you? Did you want them to think you’re not that interested? To play them? To make them MORE KEEN on you, counting on them getting a narcissistic reaction to rejection? (Treat them mean, keep them keen.) If YOU made it seem like you don’t want them, don’t blame a normal, healthy person for believing you and leaving you alone out of respect for you.

If you tried to control them, however, things might be trickier to fix even if you were their True Emotion Mirror.
