Would a True Emotion Mirror ever leave you at the altar?

When it comes to True Emotion Mirrors, everything is possible.

I once talked to a guy who had carried a torch for this girl for five years. Finally, he raked up the courage to ask her out. That was Monday. Friday, coffee. Great. By Thursday, he’d moved out of the state to avoid the date… And five more years later, he’s crying to me about it. 😀 I find that to be quite adorable. I can understand how you might not see it that way. :p

True Emotion Mirror freakouts happen. And sure, they can happen on the wedding day. Wedding jitters aside, a complete freakout is also possible. They can get the better of you, and sure, they can break the relationship for years, and they more than likely will. But the bond will likely remain.

If you’re there, at the altar… Just breathe. Swear to forgive. Don’t rile yourself up to anger, you’ll only hurt yourself with it. Don’t let your family and friends chew him or her up. Avoid radio silence, try to talk to them – even if you have to force communication lines back open by sending messages through mutual friends or whatever.

Then, maybe forget the wedding and get married at the magistrates office once your TrEmoR gets back to his or her wits.

In the meanwhile… If you can find humor in it… And if you have the balls for it, have the wedding without them if this is literally on the day… Sure, you can’t get married, per se, but celebrate the love you feel for them anyway. Toast at their runner, and try to laugh it off. At least it’ll make a very memorable party.

I know this sounds weird, but sometimes you just know every freakout is temporary… You just KNOW and can’t really cry about it. There’s a weird calm that comes with True Emotion Mirrors, too, even if one of you is freaking out.

What’s the reason? Probably feeling completely undeserving of such happiness. Just TOO MUCH. Might happen to someone who is not used to being loved to begin with, let alone to the intensity of a True Emotion Mirror. It can be a lot. They can just feel so utterly broken by the very thing they want the most – love and someone to commit to them.
