You cannot make a person love you by making them happy.

You cannot make a person fall in love with you by making them happy because you cannot make them happy if they don’t love you. It is a self-defeating endeavor. You can only BE a person another person loves or you’re not. If they love you, you make them happy by simply existing where they’re aware of you – even online. If you want love and to make someone happy, you have to CHANGE into the type of person that person would love. You must forget about them for a while and make yourself into someone they’d love without trying.

Here’s a clue: Everybody loves people who are like themselves. If you’re in love with someone who isn’t like you, you’re more than likely telling yourself that this person IS like you “deep down,” and what isn’t like you is “an act.” You’re most likely wasting time trying to make them “accept themselves” as the type of person you are, but you don’t actually want to change into what they are, do you? If you do, and would, then you’ll most likely fear that OTHERS won’t love you if you are like that – and that’s the thing. They won’t respect you if you need to be babysat into becoming what they’d love, as they dare to be who they are, but you don’t. If they don’t love you now, there is very little chance they will want to help you fake it… And there’s even less of a chance they’d love you KNOWING they helped you fake your way into their “circles.”

A person who already loves you will help you make the final adjustments needed, but they have to be head-over-heels in love with you already to do that for you. And you’ll make them happy by just being there, willing to make the final adjustments… But if they don’t love you yet, you’re going to have to walk the walk of shame to be lovable enough to them as you are… And it’s a high chance you don’t love them enough to do so. You want guarantees, most likely, but true love doesn’t work that way. There are risks involved, risks that you must be willing to live with. There are NO GUARANTEES.
