You have every right to be biased toward your own children.

Let’s stop one thing right here, shall we? Treating your children as “privileged” because they’re yours. We all have to survive our own parents, and parents who treat their children as if they’ve got some halo of luck for being theirs are not going to be making their children’s lives any better. If everyone else considers them privileged, too, they’re not going to get help from anybody ever. Everybody needs help and a leg up. If their parent is not going to help them along a bit, who the Hell will?
