Your first job is to be his/her friend.

So there’s this man who had always been afraid of horses. It wasn’t that he hated horses, rather, he had a healthy respect for their strength and their majestic nature. He just felt he couldn’t trust a horse. He felt an animal of that size would never take commands of a man a fraction of his own size.

But then, his new wife told him: “Honey, you are not supposed to be his master. You are his friend.”

He realized, that even though he never wanted to COMMAND a horse, he was more than happy to serve a horse. He would brush his coat and bring him hey; he would make sure he’s cared for, warm, and safe, and then, maybe one day, the horse will let him take him sightseeing.

This is what you must be to your True Emotion Mirror. A friend.

We so easily forget it being afraid of their beauty and power over us.
