Your scale of awareness and that of your followers

Like many spiritual teachers, I have a long line of incarnations spent in the practice of becoming more aware of the divinity of this planet. From a nun to a free thinker, I have made an effort to serve God and people on my path through lifetimes. This has led into me having a very different point of view to life to most people. I view life from the high chakras, mainly through the Crown and 3rd Eye. (I actually don’t know how high they go, because from Crown up, to me it seems a continuous line all the way to the top, but I don’t know how others experience the above head -chakras.) Especially before, when I’ve tried to teach people on the Root chakra level, (and there’s a lot of people still at the Root,) I make absolutely no sense to them, clearly. That is not to say they can’t be taught, it simply means they need a different approach to the top level chakra people. Our job, is to learn to understand people on all developmental levels.

I learned, not longer than a day ago, to look at other people through the eyes of the unawakened. I must say I was confronted. It was nothing like I imagined the world to be, it was TERRIFYING. I was looking at myself through my mother’s eyes (I think), and all I could see was WEIRD, scary and incomprehensible. I was looking at a photograph of myself through my mother’s eyes, and first, I took notice of the sagging bags underneath my eyes. It was this picture attached… Then, I noticed my cheek sagging. These were very real beauty flaws the way I saw them without my soul attached to the photo. When I look at it  now, I go how on earth?! Then, I thought; “what a weird pose – what is she trying to say with that pose? Why does she have to twist herself into such a position? Why does she have to be so weird?” And this wasn’t an emotion of displeasure exactly, it was fear. She looked at me like I had some mental disorder or I was possessed by the devil or riddled with some psychiatric mental illness because I wasn’t sitting  up straight. There was no connection to the emotion that the pose would convey to others, it is simply a ridiculous, contorted, twisted insane pose that means nothing to her apart from “weird”… Scary weird. Unpredictable, unstable, clearly unhinged.

Imagine seeing your daughter that way your entire life. Unable to connect to her on an emotional level because she doesn’t sit straight. And I understood that she had NO IDEA what I was feeling. She absolutely didn’t know who I was, the only thing she knows is how I behave and she  doesn’t understand the external prompt that makes me behave in an unpredictable manner. She expected her children to grow up like computers; she programmed something in and she would expect a certain outcome and when that didn’t happen, she got scared. Deathly scared. Why? Because emotion to her is a foreign concept. To her, there is essentially 3 feelings; Fear, feeling of danger and then safety. Everything else is without a real meaning, only words or concepts that others talk about in order to seem better than others. And she doesn’t understand why anyone would want anything out of life apart from a safety and predictability.

One level up, adding a sakral chakra, you see people as nothing but through the idea of mating. This is not the need to “fuck” let alone “make love”, but to mate. To mount. This is the developmental level of a rapist of course. Blinding need to mate drives them forward, that, and a lair to be safe at. This has nothing to do with sex as we know it, sex, that to a root level person is absolute terror at best of times, (shut your eyes and think of the Queen), and truly, to a root level person, sex is for no other purpose than to have children – or to dominate over another person. Any attempt to have sex with a root level person must be about recreation or it becomes a function of dominance – no matter how loving the other person would be, there IS NO OTHER POSSIBLE REASON for sex apart from recreation in their minds. For a sakral chakra person, there is another reason for it: getting off. It is not much removed from masturbation, simply more exciting because it feels better. In this kind of a mind, sex doesn’t really hurt anyone, and they cannot understand why anyone would say no to it apart from just being difficult, and they don’t understand why laws must exist to protect people from sexual assaults, it simply doesn’t connect. Not all rapists think this way, though, and this type of a person is quite likely psychologically tested before conviction for a good reason. I recently read a description of someone like that in a newspaper, and the transcript of the trial made an interesting reading; Clearly he thought he was on a date with these women that he grabbed at a bus stop and dragged into the woods to have his way with them. He didn’t think it at all weird when one of the women thought to ask him to exchange phone numbers in order to make him lose his grip for long enough for her to kick him and run away. Exchange phone numbers in the middle of a rape, people!

Solar Plexus chakra or the “gut feeling” is the first chakra of “foresight”. It differs from the 3rd Eye foresight in that it is much more aligned to self-preservation than the 3rd Eye, that handles more advanced foresight; thriving instead of surviving. The gut feeling stops people from making a mistake or allowing them to trust someone, from the point of view of self-preservation. The “gut” also handles enjoyment, pleasure, sexual and gastronomic mostly, but also it connects to the higher chakras later on, but let’s talk about people who still feel from the gut down, rather than from the gut up. So these people stuff themselves with pleasurable foods. They are actually starting to be quite human in their approach to life; life is enjoyable and pleasurable, as long as certain things have been taken care of. The gut people get confused in today’s society of course when over-eating is considered suuuuch a baaad thing, but really what they should be doing is to really, kill themselves with food because that is the best thing they know. 😀 Gut people also love the company of their off spring, sexual pleasure and good, simple humour – it is rare that their higher chakras would be completely undeveloped at this stage. If they are, their entire world revolves around food and unconnected sex, and reassuring that their security isn’t threatened in any way. Sexually, you could call these people molesters, they don’t really care about the other person, but they take more pleasure in their person than the root chakra people who do not understand the concept of “a person”. They do not intend to hurt anyone, either, they simply can be a bit clueless about other people’s needs and why what they are doing might be harmful to them.

When the Heart Chakra joins in, you get very emotional people with a deep need to connect with other people permanently. They are needy and clingy and overly-protective and self-assured in the “knowledge” that everyone would want them to be there for them. They are very similar to Root people in some sense, because now they need emotional safety on top of their physical safety. Unfortunately, with Crown people, they feel threatened from both points of view, because Crown people are all about individuality, detachment, solitude, and self-reliance. They want to get out of the relationship with Heart-people, because the Heart-people are the most suffocating type of people there are to a Crown person. The Heart-people attempt to secure their future emotionally and physically, and depending on how well the Heart-chakra operates they can be either forcing their love on others or demanding to be loved; love to them is what candy is to a child; If you throw a tantrum, you’ll get it eventually! (Opening it permanently can be a bit of a hit and miss, because they can sometimes have love flow ever so easily through the chakra, and other times be so needy for returned love that they cling onto other people like the drowning grab a straw). The majority of spiritual teachers and their flock belong to the Heart-chakra group, but are not at the top of their game, yet. (Also, a lot of them claim to be Christ-conscious at this stage, which is a HUGE leap to self-congratulating at this stage.) All sorts of ego-problems happen on this stage because the heart is so sore that it needs protection and when the heart needs protection, false ego will be built.

Throat chakra responds to the need to express oneself, communication, need to be understood more than to understand. I would claim that there is another chakra in the mouth, but other sources do not recognise it, and that chakra is connected to the throat chakra quite seamlessly. The mouth is about taking in new information where as the throat is about expressing oneself. Clearly, two sides of the same coin. (Not to be mistaken with the Heart’s need to experience love in the form of spiritual information let alone the Root-chakras need to be ensured a safe passage to the Kingdom of Heaven for a need to ‘take in’ information. They simply need reassurance, safety.) The mouth chakra deals with facts, figures, proof, the intelligence of other’s, but also passion, excitement, love of life and arts. The throat opens up after the mouth, because once one is filled with information, THOUGHT happens, once thought happens, the need to self-express happens. (Again, different to the need to communicate about reassurance of love and security of the body.)

The 3rd Eye chakra is the chakra of intelligence, information, foresight, psychic awareness and understanding; philosophy. It opens up a person’s eyes to things that are not Right There, but it are readable when paid attention to. This is the chakra of intuition; it makes it easy for people to both know what people are like and to gain inborn security in the world; you are not scared by the things you can see; only by those that you cannot, and this chakra opens the eyes to the things in the dark and helps the person realize the stuff in the dark only attacks you if you don’t notice it’s there. The3rd Eye allows people to predict danger so early that they are quite capable of avoiding it without a hassle – unless the danger comes from a Crown person.

The Crown Personalities are a difficult bunch to grasp. One one hand, they are the enlightened ones. On the other hand, they are protectors, creators and bringers of justice, but the downside with them, from the point of view of the lower chakra people, is that they see things very differently to other people. They do not follow rules very easily, because they no longer consider themselves a part of the society so much, they are in it, but not really, they feel like they are individuals that do not want to be taken into the society to be made to “fit in”. They no longer “fit in” nor do they feel the need to. Their attitude is that they are an individual and they will seek out individuals who think alike and leave other people alone – they no longer feel attachment to their families for the sake of genes, if they are fond of a family member, they are, but it no longer comes from a genetic bond but simply because they like this specific individual and they would like them with or without the genetic bond. The higher the Crown evolution, the scarier they seem to a Root- and Heart-people, who do not understand their need for solitude and separation. To them, the Crown people seem like they are the enemy of the society, (and, in a sense they are, simply because they haven’t noticed that their ideal world isn’t the ideal of all people). They are revolutionaries and philosophers, and it is to be pointed out that having one’s crown chakra open doesn’t automatically mean “a complete person”, it simply means they are aware of their individuality and separation rather than the need to be physically together with their safe people. In addition, they find their safe people outside of their families and work circles – they are protecting their freedom, not their safety or feelings. The only way to irritate a Crown person is to threaten their individual freedom or that of others. Their highest value is individuality and the freedom of that individuality. Depending on their level of self-control and self-awareness (that opening the Crown chakra will only START to work on) they can be either the best thing that has ever happened to you, or the worst. The only way to make sure they will, in any way, harm your existence, not even by a mean word, is to leave them to their own projects. Before I make them sound like psychopaths, (all of whom are chakra people), I remind you that the mythical Jesus was a Crown person, although so often described by Heart-people, that he has gotten more Heart-characteristics than Crown-characteristics in historical texts. (I call him “mythical”, because I feel he was not quite the way he’s been described, and I feel there is a lot more to this story than what we are generally aware of these days, although I do believe in the existence of a man of that description.) The most important thing to understand about the Crown people is that they simply need to be left to handle their own affairs even if what they are doing would seem senseless to other people. It doesn’t matter, there is a method to their madness, and these are really the people who seem insane dancing when nobody else can hear the music.

In some sense – and I do say this with a slight grin – the Crown people are gods amongst people, they simply are no longer a part of society the same way as lower level chakra people view society. They contribute to it, but under their own rules, they rather give than take, but they also do not want any drama or hassle for their contribution. They will work tirelessly to make the world a better place, but if you harass them long enough, they are quite quick to temper. Just like any god of historical description, they do not take uppityness from their subjects, especially as they have no need to control their subjects. The trouble is that a lot of the lower level people view their reluctance to follow the rules as a direct threat to humanity, even though they simply wish to be left alone. They didn’t choose to be born into a certain government structure, they had nowhere else to go – because all the world is run by governments.

The job for the spiritual teacher is to reach LOWER instead of reaching higher. If your goal is to teach yourself, you can certainly do that, but the further along you go, the less you make sense to those coming behind you. You will also put some effort into understanding the thinking of those people who come behind, and how to express your views in a way that leaves very little to misinterpretation. At best of times spiritual texts can be mistaken and misread, and when you don’t know how people around you think, you are in danger of saying something really bad to the wrong people, because they heard you wrong. For instance: when revolutionaries say “change the world” some people hear it to mean “destroy the world” when the revolutionaries really meant “heal the world”. When one person says “love me” one will hear it as an invitation to “molly coddle me” and another hears it “set me free”.

One way would be to use this scaling to tell people what level teacher you are, and remind them that your teachings don’t really apply to higher or lower levels. I am thinking of doing it myself, but we’ll see. Would solve a problem or two, but not really clear my schedule. At any rate, I will be posting more stuff for other teachers out there, and see if we can help each other bring light… and give each other the ability to see in the dark.
