Your Spiritual Goal is to Touch Base with Yourself – Not the fukken divine.

Let’s start with the basics, shall we? If you cannot touch base with yourself, how on EARTH do you think you can come even close touching the divine?

Now, let’s back up even further.

I don’t, personally, know what spiritual stage I’m at. Am I at the end, having found a reason to live, a true joy in life, a zest if you will, something I can imagine carrying on for another million years or more? Something I feel I can’t… I’ve phrased it this way: “I cannot wait to live forever.” Is it that, or is the final spiritual stage to achieve the loss of will to live, so we stop suffering for the conflict of attempting to stay alive while a part of you wants to die, a part wants to live. “The suffering ends when the will to live dies.” Says Hinduism, if memory serves, and that is the most depressing thing I’ve ever heard.

Is the goal to have no hope so that you won’t get disappointed as the philosophical pessimists believe? Is the goal to die bravely in battle so you can go to Valhalla or Muslim heaven to fuck 72 virgins? To find enough peace of mind so you can sit still away from all civilization and what not?

Who cares? Nobody fucking knows. Those who claim to know, disagree.

There’s time for everything under the Sun

Don’t rush. I’d say. Wherever you are at is where you are at. I am, at least, convinced, to the point of not wanting to even argue the matter, that we reincarnate. It is as obvious to me as the fact I breathe now. What I am not entirely convinced of, is our ability to reliably remember the details of these previous lifetimes, but that’s beside the point.

As we reincarnate, we learn things. I do not believe there is any point or spiritual merit to try and make this cycle as short as possible. If you love it (and I suggest you find a way to enjoy it) why hurry, if not for ego?

I also don’t believe there is any reason why you should stay in an embodied form if you don’t like it. Just fuck off the planet and leave the rest of us be, right? One sign of spiritual evolution, in all religions, is the ability to remove oneself from the pack – to think clearly and independently to follow either a god or one’s own inner guidance that is nameless. Bible commands you to cut your ties to your family if your family is preventing you from following God, and I’m sure similar passages are found in all religious texts. To be honest, I suggest you should cut ties to God, too, if he tries to push you off your own path… Like… For instance, WHAT FUCKED UP GOD wants you to kill other people to prove your worth to him? Is that the kind of god you should be hanging out with? Would you have CHOSEN that god for yourself if you hadn’t been born to that?

Family God

I believe, that gods are not really global. I believe there’s somewhat of a family god thing happening. That each family has a silverback kind of a person, who has taken the texts of some religion and then translated them into his or her own liking. Then, in the form of God they try to guide their own family members into a direction they believe is right.

Now… My assigned God seems completely and utterly disinterested in the same people I’m disinterested in on a personal level. I’ve always wanted to heal the world and make sure everyone lives happy, but obviously, my PERSONAL group of people is limited to a few hundred people I think. Someone suggested we all have about a thousand soul’s group that is spiritually a slightly separate unit, and I think that might be true. I’ve tried to test our god a few times and remind him that he’s supposed to be “one” god, and that he’s supposed to take interest in those people, too. He seems obstinately disinterested. Not in the “child, I have my eye on everything” sort of way… But “no, I can’t be bothered”.

The Superior Spirit

However, I can sense another spirit behind him (I’ve called this forefront ‘god’ the ‘micromanager’ for years) that is somewhat amused by all of this. He seems completely worry-free, sometimes playful in his mischievous amusement of how people can’t see “it”… The perfection of the design. (And yes, I’d call him a “he”.) It seems like he sleeps a lot, sound sleep, because he knows everything in this world is fine. He knows exactly what is happening, and he knows why it is happening. He gives information without words, and if you’re tapped to him, you don’t worry much. I believe he’s the ‘god’ I truly follow, but my family tries to turn me toward this micromanager, who is a lot louder, a lot easier to hear. I am not entirely convinced my god can hear him. I believe what he is, is a Christian man who couldn’t hear the god we heard and felt, so he became one.

The superior spirit has a soft calm presence, and a good humor is his primary emotion. Not really love. Just gentle, good humor.

The point of this being: NOBODY KNOWS

Now, of course you can stop thinking and find a dominant person who is willing to replace your thoughts and feelings with those of his or her own, but I suggest you learn to take responsibility for your own feelings and thoughts, and beliefs. If all of us seek for THE TRUTH, we MUST, by LOGIC, arrive at the same place eventually. Sooner or later.

The only god we should serve is the truth. The actual, what IS.

And that doesn’t, by any means, take away the truth that spirit exists, it reincarnates, and IS what we are. (Unless I’m mistaken, which is possible.) The thing is, only those who doubt themselves have a theoretical chance to arrive to the truth. Every person who has never doubted their own world view is doomed to stay stuck in it. Only those who doubt evolve.

So doubt.

Ask questions.

Be insecure.

That is power.

What do you know for a fact?

Now… Individually, we are all in the same position. None of us knows who is spiritually more enlightened than the other. You can rest assured of one thing, and one thing only: everyone who thinks they are right, thinks they are righter than anyone else. I am like that. I believe I am more right than anyone else, and once I’ll arrive to a conclusion that I am not, I’ll change my position into that new idea, and then I’m more right again.

If we knew what we don’t know, we’d already know it.

So. Map out what you know, what you think you know, and what you believe. Those 3 things are not the same. Meet yourself there.

Everything else, you’ll build over time.

Or, log on Second Life, write in your profile that you’re looking for someone self-confident show you the way to pleasing him or her, and you’ll have a guru for yourself faster than you can digest your food.

This is actually somewhat of a genuine suggestion. It doesn’t MATTER what you do, because every step takes its own time, and there’s no way you’ll take 10 steps in one, although you can take 10 steps in a fast pace if you put your mind to it. Just do what feels right RIGHT NOW.

DO WHAT YOU WANT. Follow your “I want to”. It’s THE BEST GUIDE you’ve got. And your WANT will change when you have had enough – until you’ve found the thing you’ll never get enough of, and that’s what you should seek.
